LANCKY DOG WALKS

The club holds walks for members, their hounds and non hounds, once a month on a Sunday morning in various scenic locations all over Lancashire.  The walks take place come rain or shine and are suitable for all ages, taking about a leisurely, chatty hour to complete.

Many walks take place in picturesque Country Parks but also include locations such as canal walks.  Suggestions for suitable new venues are always welcome by our walk organisers who ensure adequate car parking, toilet and café facilities are available.

All dogs must be kept on lead during the walks and we ask for a donation of £1 per hound towards our fundraising efforts to help the various northern greyhound and lurcher rescues we support.  A raffle is also drawn at the end of the walk (prizes for humans and dogs) to further boost our funds and there is water and free treats for all hounds.  Occasionally for us humans, an optional after walk lunch is arranged at a nearby pub or café.
